Here's what some of our customers have to say........
Our dog, Wrigley, started going to Gary's when she was still a puppy. She is always well cared for there. We know she enjoys her time at Gary's by how excited she is to see him.
It was an easy decision for our daughter and her fiance to leave their new dog, Casey, with Gary. Just mentioning his name gets a full " tail wagging" reaction.
Gary understands dogs and their owners. We know that when we're away, our dogs are in good hands and having a great time.

We treat our dog Wrigley like he’s our child, so when we moved into the area and were looking for a new doggie daycare/dog walker, we were very selective. We did an in home visit to see how Wrigley would react with the other dogs at Lake County Dog Daycare. Wrigley was immediately welcomed by the pack and Gary answered our 100’s of questions like it was an everyday occurrence. That’s when we knew we found a very special place.
In the mornings when Gary picks up Wrigley for daycare, Wrigley is so happy to see Gary he runs to him, then he looks back at me and runs back to me, then back to Gary and so on until they leave.
We use Lake County Dogs for a variety of services. Doggie daycare, dog walks, shuttling and overnight stays. I am so impressed with their services that I’ve recommended them to all my neighbors and co-workers with dogs. I never have to worry about his well being - when he’s with Gary he’s in good hands.
Lake County Dogs has become a part of our extended family and we would recommend them to anyone who wants their animals to be in a loving environment where they are treated like a part of their family.

Gary came into our lives about three years ago, when we met him through a friend. Gary had watched our freind's dog a few times, and the dog just adored him. Our black lab Loki was two years old at the time, and still quite a puppy. We hated leaving him in kennels when we traveled, so for our next trip we decided to ask Gary to watch Loki.
It was such a brilliant concept: we could either leave Loki at Gary's house while we were gone, or we could leave Loki at home and Gary could come over several times a day (breakfast/potty, mid-morning walk, dinner/potty, bedtime play/potty/tuck-in). We decided to try leaving Loki at home, and he didn't even know we were gone! Gary sent us updates and phone pictures, and we felt so great knowing our dog was in such good hands!!!
Well, soon after that vacation, Loki decided he wanted to see more of his new buddy Gary (and Gary's three adorable dogs, with whom Loki quickly bonded). We both work about 45 minutes from home, and even though Loki was no longer in a crate during the day, we felt terrible leaving him alone such long hours. We decided to hire Gary to walk Loki in the middle of the day, three times a week. Three times a week soon became five times a week. And that was three years ago.
Today Gary walks Loki daily (or takes him to the dog park, or whatever fun they decide to have), watches Loki when we travel, and even runs Loki-related errands for us occassionally (picking up the dog food or medicine, etc...)
We consider Gary to be an important part of our "family". But more importantly Gary is a very important part of our dogs life. Loki's tail practically wags off when Gary pulls into our driveway!! In fact, we can't even say the name "Gary" because Loki grabs a toy and runs to the front door, waiting for Gary to come in. We are so blessed and lucky to have Gary as the caretaker for our "child" Loki. We simply adore Gary.
I am more than happy to talk to anyone who has questions about Gary or Lake County Dogs, or would like to know more about the services Gary offers. Gary can give you our informtaion.
Very Sincerely (and woof woof),
Lauren, Ed and Loki

Our relationship with Gary started back in 2005. At the time we had an
elderly dog (Dozer) which needed special attention. His special
attention included a tinkle break and pets. As Dozer's illness
progressed the level of care increased and so did our anxiety of leaving
him at home while we worked. However, knowing Gary would be there to
check on him helped calm our nerves. We could have never made it
through that difficult time with out his help and kindness.
After Dozer's passing Maya Bean came into our lives with a blast. She
was 5 months old and had the energy to prove it. Like Dozer she was
adopted from Orphans of the Storm and came with some baggage. She was
abused prior to coming to the Orphanage and needed a gentle hand. Gary
was able to give her that and she immediately trusted him (this is not
an easy feat for her). Maya went to daycare Monday through Friday to
get all of her energy out, which she did. Maya just turned 2 years old.
After she turned two she stopped daycare and now just gets walks. We did
this in the hopes that she will mature enough so that we can get her a
brother in the spring. Although she is no longer in daycare I still
know that she is getting top notch care from Gary on her visits. We
requested that he bring a friend for her on her walks which he does
everyday. We appreciate what Gary does for us and we know Maya
appreciates it as well. You can easily tell she cares for him because
when we are home on a weekday she sits in the window waiting for his
arrival.
